Group C Race of the Day: World Sports Car, 1984 Nurburgring 1,000 Kilometers

We stay in the 1984 FIA WEC/Group C season.  This time, we’re headed to the “new” Nurburgring, a short, modern autodrome, for the 1984 running of the Nurburgring 1,000 Kilometers.

Nurburgring – scene of some of the finest battles in the annals of motorsport – opens her new 4.5 kilometer circuit to the World Endurance Championship for the first time.  This fourth round will prove to be the closest duel of the 1984 season so far.  We join Brian Kreisky in the commentary box, for the race call.
