Happy St. Patrick’s Day! We return to the daunting Spa Francorchamps circuit in the Ardennes forest of Belgium, one year after the most recent Race of The Day, for the 1987 1,000 Kilometers.
Belgium’s Spa Francorchamps is the scene for the race that will ultimately decide the 1987 World Sports Car Championship, and a new face will take the crown away from two-time defending champion, Rothmans Porsche veteran, Derek Bell. The team from Coventry, in England, Silk Cut Jaguar, have already brought the teams’ championship trophy back to the factory. But, can their Brazilian maestro driver, Raul Boesel clinch the driver’s trophy, too? We find out, along with commentator Paul Fowler, right here, right now.
